Excellence, innovation, and a commitment to quality have once again received international recognition. Peña de Baena has been awarded at the London International Olive Oil Competitions (LIOOC) 2026, one of the most prestigious olive oil competitions worldwide, earning two significant awards that recognize both the quality of our oils and the value of our most distinctive creations.
Gold Medal for Corona de Baena x Noor
The highest distinction was awarded to Corona de Baena x Noor, which received the Gold Medal in the Quality Award category at the London IOOC 2026.
This exclusive edition is the result of a collaboration between Peña de Baena and Noor, the Córdoba-based restaurant led by Paco Morales and Paola Gualandi, holder of three Michelin stars. The partnership is built on shared values: respect for origin, a passion for excellence, and a constant pursuit of perfection.
Corona de Baena x Noor contains an olive oil produced from a selection of our finest olives, carefully crafted to reflect the sensitivity, character, and identity of a truly unique gastronomic project.
Silver Medal for Francisco Peña 25th Anniversary Packaging
The London IOOC 2026 also recognized the limited-edition Francisco Peña 25th Anniversary bottle with a Silver Medal in the Packaging Award category.
This bottle was created to commemorate 25 years of Peña de Baena’s history and to pay tribute to Francisco Peña, the company’s founder and the driving force behind the values that continue to guide our work generation after generation.
Handcrafted in ceramic and individually numbered by hand, this special edition represents the union of tradition, design, and authenticity. The award recognizes the effort devoted to every detail, transforming the packaging into an extension of the quality and personality contained within.
A Year of Recognition for Peña de Baena
These awards add to other important distinctions received throughout 2026. Among them is the Silver Medal awarded to Corona de Baena x Noor at the 33rd Quality Awards of the Baena Designation of Origin in the Ripe Fruit category, as well as the Silver Medal won by Corona de Baena at the ATHENA International Olive Oil Competition 2026, held in Greece.
Each award serves as motivation to continue working with the same commitment as always: selecting the finest olives, carefully overseeing every stage of the production process, and bringing the name of Baena and Córdoba to the world’s leading international extra virgin olive oil stages.
Because behind every bottle there is a story, a land, and a way of understanding olive oil based on quality, tradition, and respect for our origins.
