Extra Virgin Olive Oil Limited Edition Francisco Peña – Composition
At Peña de Baena, we create a unique extra virgin olive oil through a meticulous blend of four olive varieties: Picuda, Picual, Hojiblanca, and Nevadillo. Each variety contributes special characteristics that combine to produce an exceptional oil, perfect for enjoying raw or in emulsions, such as sauces and traditional stews.
- Picual: Our Picual olive delivers the distinctive deep green color and fruity flavors characteristic of extra virgin olive oil.
- Picuda: Picuda adds a gentle sweetness that enhances the fruity nuances of this coupage, resulting in a smooth and delicious olive oil.
- Hojiblanca: Hojiblanca contributes a wide range of fruity notes and a pleasantly persistent peppery finish.
- Nevadillo: Related to the Picuda variety, Nevadillo provides greater shelf life thanks to its high fatty acid content.
Each variety is cold-pressed and extracted using only mechanical methods, ensuring optimal preservation of their properties and their full expression in the final product.
