For more than 25 years we have been taking care of our origins. It was in 1999 when Francisco Peña, together with his sons, started a project deeply rooted in his origins, as a way of thanking Baena for everything it did for him. Thus Peña de Baena was born, with the aim of returning to its land, maintaining its origins and the traditional cultivation of the olive tree.
Baena is known for its olive grove production, thanks to its pre-Roman, Roman and Arab influence. The Picuda variety is the main one in the area, but there are also Hojiblanca, Picual, Lechín Chorrúa and Pajarero, among others. Thus, in 1981 the Baena Denomination of Origin was born, with more than 60,000 hectares of olive groves. The brand was born out of the family's love for Baena.
Since the beginning of our history, Peña de Baena has had its own oil mill, which means that the entire production process of our oils, from the harvesting of the olives to bottling, is unique and is not shared with oils from other brands. This translates into a product of true quality and uniqueness in the market.
